                Chief of Police Rodney Witherite

Chief Witherite is the Police Chief in Watsontown, beginning in 2015.  He previously retired from the Pennsylvania State Police as Lieutenant after 25 years of service.  He has also served in multiple municipal police departments before and after his tenure with the State Police.  Chief Witherite has experience in administration, patrol and investigations... and has been crucial in developing several positive changes within the department in his first 2 years of service with us.

This is "Sampson" in 2017, the Watsontown Police Department Mounted Unit.  He is a Percheron that stands at 18.5 hands.  The horse is used primarily by Chief Witherite for public relations such as parades, funerals, public events and requests from other police departments/municipalities for public service.

               Lieutenant Richard Faux

Lieutenant Faux has worked for the Watsontown Police Department for 21 years, starting in 1995.  He was promoted to Detective in 2005 and Detective Sergeant in 2006.  As Det. Sgt, he was the lead criminal investigator for the department, with extensive training and experience in Criminal and Drug Investigations.  Lt. Faux was promoted to Lieutenant in 2015.  He is an active member of the Northumberland-Montour Drug Task Force, and a certified hostage negotiator.  Lt. Faux also continues to hold his paramedic certificate from the State Department of Health.


               Sergeant Gregory Drollinger

Sergeant Drollinger has been with the Watsontown Police Department for 13 years.  He began his career with the WPD in 2003 as a part-time officer, and was hired as a full-time officer in 2006.  Sgt. Drollinger was promoted to Detective in 2009, and Det. Sergeant in 2015.  As Det. Sgt., he is the lead criminal investigator and first line supervisor of the department.  Sgt. Drollinger has attended numerous training courses, totaling hundreds of hours, ranging from DUI and traffic enforcement to criminal and drug crimes... including a weeklong homicide investigation course and the 2 week criminal investigators course.  He remains active in criminal investigations and all major crimes in the Borough and has experience investigating virtually all types of crimes.  He is also the administrator of various department functions.  Sgt. Drollinger is also the department Field Training Officer, has taken the week long supervisor training course, and is the webmaster of the department website.  Sgt. Drollinger is an active member of the Northumberland-Montour Drug Task Force, and is also a State Department of Health certified First Responder.

                       

               Patrolman Christopher Snyder

Ptlm. Snyder was hired with the Watsontown Police Department in 2015.  He has 4 years prior experience in Columbia County Police Departments, where he served as Corporal for a time.  Prior to that, Ptlm. Snyder has served 6 years with the United States Army as a Military Police Officer.  Ptlm. Snyder has training and experience in both the criminal and traffic aspects of police work, investigating numerous cases to include felonies.  He was involved in a large drug seizure in Columbia County with $100,000 cash and drugs seized.


               Patrolman Timothy Kiefaber

Ptlm. Kiefaber was hired with the Watsontown Police Department in 2015.  Prior to being hired here, he has 6 years experience in several nearby departments in Columbia and Northumberland Counties, where he was a Corporal for a time.  Ptlm. Kiefaber has received training and experience in criminal and traffic investigations and arrests, investigating numerous cases including felonies.  Ptlm. Kiefaber was involved in a large drug seizure in Columbia County with $100,000 cash and drugs seized.  Ptlm. Kiefaber is an active member of the Northumberland-Montour Drug Task Force.



            
                    Patrolman Ernest Delp, III

Ptlm. Delp is a part-time Officer for 10 years with the Watsontown Police Department, joining the team in 2006.  His primary focus is patrol duties... filling in shifts when other officer's are on vacation and training, or as needed.  Ptlm. Delp is also a State Department of Health certified EMT.  Ptlm. Delp also works for the Union County Sheriff's Office full-time, and the Montgomery and Muncy Police Departments part-time.

              
              Patrolman Joie Dozpat

Ptlm. Dozpat is a part-time Officer with the Watsontown Police Department since 2014.  She previously worked for the department part time several years earlier.  Her primary focus is patrol duties... filling in shifts when other officer's are on vacation and training, or as needed.  Ptlm. Dozpat is also a State Department of Health certified EMT.


                Patrolman Daniel Baumwoll

Ptlm. Baumwoll is a part-time Officer with the Watsontown Police Department, joining the team in 2014.  His primary focus is patrol duties... filling in shifts when other officer's are on vacation and training, or as needed.  Ptlm. Baumwoll works as a full-time officer at the Buffalo Valley Regional Police Department in Lewisburg, and previously worked as a police officer for 9 years in Florida.  He has specialized training in traffic accident investigation and reconstruction.


                  Patrolman Joshua Laidacker

Ptlm. Laidacker is a part-time Officer with the Watsontown Police Department, joining the team in late 2015.  His primary focus is patrol duties... filling in shifts when other officer's are on vacation and training, or as needed.  Ptlm. Laidacker is also the Department Firearms instructor.  Ptlm. Laidacker is also the full-time Chief of Police at the Catawissa Police Department.


                    Patrolman Robert Baker, III

Ptlm. Baker is a part-time Officer with the Watsontown Police Department, joining the department in 2016.  His primary focus is patrol duties... filling in shifts when other officer's are on vacation and training, or as needed.
